My Gear

Everything here was thoroughly researched and thought out before making any purchases. You definitely don’t need the latest and greatest super fancy gear to have fun and create great images. I’ll only upgrade when there is a real need or I crash it again…

SONY Alpha a7 III Mirrorless with 28-70mm Lens

Having had this camera for about a year and a half now I can safely say this was the best investment I ever made. Coming from a Sony RX1R (Fixed 35mm lens) this opened so many doors for me and the 28 - 70mm kit lens performs great. Battery life is insane, I have never used either of the two spares I have. Would highly recommend it to anyone (beginner or advanced) and not just because it’s a 24mp mirrorless.

  • DJI Mavic Pro 2

The Mavic 2 Pro is a beast. It’s as simple as that! Having come from the Mavic Pro 1 this thing is leaps and bounds ahead. A few of the highlights for me are the 1-inch sensor and variable aperture, which basically puts your DSLR up in the sky! Transmission and battery life is great too!

  • Go Pro Hero 9

    Go Pro Hero 9

I’m sure we have all been there with GoPro. You see all that awesome footage they peddle and you are just like ‘I need this’ so you spend £350 and it just sits in your cupboard, car or backpack. But this thing is worth every penny. The 20mp camera produces some stunning shots in and out of the water. The 5k is awesome too, even if it kills your laptop. It’s a great all-rounder when a heavy kit is a no-go. Easy to use and the stabilization is just pure magic.

  • SONY FE 70-200mm F4 G OSS Full-frame E-mount Lens SEL70200G

    SONY FE 70-200mm F4 G OSS Full-frame E-mount Lens

Oh man did I go through the motions before finally committing to purchasing this one… the thought of spending nearly £1000 on a lens still seems a bit crazy to me but I’m sure glad I did. It’s my go-to woodland lens 99% of the time (if space allows).

  • Peak Design Black Slide Camera Strap

Peak Design Black Slide Camera Strap

This was one of those things I didn’t know I needed until I got it. If you are similar to me and like to quickly switch between handheld and tripod due to fleeting conditions this is worth every single penny. The quality is exceptional and very smooth to use.
