The New Forest is my home landscape and the place I know best.
These images were made across the ancient woodland, open heathland and misty valleys of this extraordinary national park in Hampshire — from the towering Douglas firs of Bolderwood to the fog-filled beeches of Vereley at sunrise. The New Forest rewards the early riser. Most of these images were captured in the first hour of daylight, when the mist still sits in the hollows and the light is at its most fleeting and extraordinary.
